The Onam Celebration-2014 of the Share & Care Charitable Society was held in the St. Thomas Asylum Kaipuzha, on 6th September 2014 with a view to associate the inmates of the Asylum in the various events, and the Onam feast arranged by the Society. A grand floral arrangement on the ground was displayed in the morning itself. At 10:30 AM the artistic events started with an ONAM SONG by the inmates of St. Thomas Asylum. Children of members of Share & Care Charitable Society participated in many events, besides the Onam ritual dance (Thiruvathira) performed by the ladies. Thereafter a public meeting was organized under the chairmanship of Share & Care Society’s President Shri. Shaji Kannalayil. After the opening prayer, the Programme Co-ordinator Boss Idukkuthara welcomed the distinguished guests and the inmates of the Asylum and also the family members of the Society to the function. Rev. Fr. Thomas Pralel, Vicar of St. George Forane Church Kaipuzha inaugurated the function. The distribution of Associate Membership was inaugurated by Ettumanoor MLA Adv. Suresh Kurupe. Ex. MLA Shri. Thomas Chazhikadan inaugurated the Web-Site of Share & Care Charitable Society. Thereafter, Neendoor Panchayat President Shri. Jose Kudilil and St. Joseph’s Convent Mother in charge Sr. Presanna addressed the gathering, conveying their greetings to all on the occasion of ONAM. Onam gifts were given to St. Thomas Asylum by the Society. A wheel chair and an electric stitching machine, on behalf the Society were handed over to Sr. Johnssia, Director St. Thomas Asylum by Shri. Sunny Vettikatte (Chairman Advisory committee) and Boss Idukkuthara ( Program Co-ordinator) respectively. Sr. Johnssia expressed her sincere thanks for the gesture on the part of the Society. Then prizes were distributed to winners of various events conducted. The meeting was concluded with the thanks giving speech of Shri. Dony Kudilil, Secretary of Share & Care Charitable Society. By 4:00 PM, Onam Celebrations were concluded. The Share & Care Charitable Society endeavour to organize such functions is to promote fraternity among all.
